DO YOU DESIGN THE DRESSES?
Yes we do! We have a collection of around 300 dresses in our shop for you to view. Try them on, discuss the fabrics, colours etc. from there we can build the perfect design for you.
DO YOU MAKE THE DRESSES?
we have a fantastic manufacturer that makes all our wonderful designs for us. However we do all the final alterations, also any required embellishments.
CAN YOU MAKE A DRESS IN ANY COLOUR?
We have over 100 colours to choose from in 5 different fabrics. So if you want a black dress, a yellow dress with red flowers or a simple white gown, we can accommodate. We can also have a dress made using a fabric sourced by yourselves (or us) and used on one of our designs. The colour/fabric possibilities are endless.
I WANT SOMETHING I’VE SEEN ONLINE, CAN YOU COPY IT?
We can certainly get inspiration from the internet, it’s always good to have ideas about what you like. Ideally we want to design you your perfect dress.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WANT?
We are Stylist consultants, not just shop assistants on commission. We are genuinely here with your best interests in mind. We are here to advise honestly about what will suit you and flatter your shape.
I’M TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT FOR MY WEDDING, IS THIS A PROBLEM?
If it is your intention to change your body shape, that is entirely up to ou. If you are having a dress made with us, once you’ve chosen a style and paid a deposit, we don’t actually measure you for the dress to be made until 4 months before the wedding. The dress is then ready for fittings approximately one month before the big day.
I FEEL LIKE I AM A ‘FUNNY’ SHAPE, AND I AM VERY NERVOUS ABOUT TRYING DRESSES ON. WHAT IF NOTHING SUITS ME?
First of all, NO ONE is super confident. Everyone has some kind of hang up. Trust us when we say, we’ve seen it all, and nothing is shocking or unusual. And we literally don’t care if you have 5 heads! You will be treated the same as the next bride. We put all our brides at ease with an initial chat and our dressing rooms are private and separate from other people in the shop. You have utmost privacy.
IF I DECIDE I LIKE A DRESS, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
We take a deposit (several options to choose from) and we go through our contract to secure the design with us. And that’s it! We then bring you back to be measured at a later date.
CAN I JUST TURN UP TO TRY ON DRESSES?
We always advise contacting us to book a bridal appointment, you may be disappointed if you turn up and we are busy.
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
you can message us via the contact page on this website or go to our Facebook page and message on there for a quicker, easier place to liaise.
WHO CAN I BRING TO THE APPOINTMENT?
Bring those whose opinion you care about, too many people can confuse the situation. Generally more than 5 people is a brain ache!
HOW LONG IS THE APPOINTMENT?
We allow 1.5 hours when you book in with us.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
we are in the centre of Bridgend town, we do not have a carpark, but there is ample car parking facilities around us in Asda Wilkinson and the Rhiw carpark.
ARE YOU NEAR TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
Yes we are a 6 min walk from the train station and 8 mins from the bus station
I’VE SEEN YOUR TV SHOW, WILL YOU BE FILMING WHEN I COME IN?
It’s unlikely, we will always contact those brides who are booked in if there are going to be cameras present.
ARE YOU LGBTQ PLUS FRIENDLY?
FACT. This shouldn’t even have to be a question…… ffs. Of course we bloody are. Two brides! DOUBLE TROUBLE!!! YES!
WHAT DO I WEAR TO AN APPOINTMENT?
We don’t care, wear whatever you want, (just wear something)
HOW MANY DRESSES WILL I TRY ON IN A TYPICAL APPOINTMENT.
We normally get through as many as we can, as many as you want. There is no set rules. Just go with the flow on the day. If you want to try one, one it is, if you want to try ten, ten it is. It’s your appointment!
ARE YOU PUSHY WHEN WE COME IN TO VIEW?
We don’t use sales tactics or pushy techniques. You either like us or you don’t! And you either like our designs or you don’t! It’s entirely up to you!
